My roommate got injured of her leg by the slippery floor at the bathroom. While she reported to the reception, the receptionist did not consider her injury but just rebuking her that she should have told them immediately. Just wonder how could someone being difficult to walk can tell the reception promptly? Later on, when she asked for a proof from the hostel for insurance claim, the receptionist became rude and did not even care nor be apologetic. It was a very rude experience, and while we suggested the reception to put more mats in bathroom, he just showed not care about it. I would recommend tourist not to go to this hostel for good and safety.

Terrible hostel. The bathrooms were so dirty, the room terribly hot like an oven and the staff are rude.

A very good hostel location to visit the city of Geneve. Major grocery stores are just a short distance walk! Residents need their room cards to unlock hostel entrance door to come in. Front desk staff service was ok. Gift shop was in the same room. There were a tv room, separate reading area and sitting room on the floor too. My family was provided free local public transportation passes (from the city) during our 3 day visit in August but we mostly visited places on foot and checked out our route from the local area map. It's worth to visit local Office of tourism (nice building) for more information, if needed. By the way, I loved the city parks, free WCs and drinking water spots available in Geneva, unlike in many other city stops along the highways in neighbouring countries! We got a very small room for 3 persons, dated and NO air-conditioning, only a desk fan above the edge of one single bed. The bunk bed was just on the side, right next to it. We brought in carry on bags only and left other things in the car. There was not a table or chair in the room! Instead, we got a wash sink with mirror, and a partitioned storage closet that we did not really need. It was kind of stuffy and warm in the room while it was much cooler in the corridor. I had some bug bite feeling on my bed during the two night stay. Our room was on 1/F and we heard noises from the street all the time at night. Toilets and shower rooms are outside of the room, shared and marked for men or women in the same washroom - my first time experience! They were acceptably clean and motion-detected to activate the lighting, which I appreciated. However, the lighting was out in the last shower room and was still not fixed before our departure! The eat-in kitchen has some small tables, two cooktops and two sinks, which was equipped with cooking utensils and many different sized pots and pans. Residents do their hand wash after each use but we found not everyone cleaned dishes well! Three fridges installed with individual small locker compartment, or one can share the "public" fridge, which was totally full when we opened. There is a door to walk out of the kitchen to sit and eat outdoors. We reserved a parking spot in their garage for 10 euros per day, not a bad deal at all! Overall, the hostel location is near the lake, tram station, and close to train station. The room rate was perhaps good for individuals to share but that would add up quite a lot for a big family. Unlike some other hostels in Geneva, no free breakfast is provided in this one.

Very nice clean hostel. The rooms smell weird at first but are ok after they have been aired and the windows opened. Good for the price and proximity to the city. Nice little kitchen if you want to use for longer stays. Pleasant staff as well.

Over priced. Staff are okay but not great and the internet doesn't really work in the rooms. The lounge is the TV room and the guests don't have control over it. Many of the rooms are taken by mature people going to the UN so not really a youth hostel. Good location and fairly comfortable.
